About This Site
This site is an independent education project. It has one job: to do the concentration math for a vial and diluent you type in, and to explain the label facts around bacteriostatic water, mixing and storage in plain words.
Who runs it
It is run independently. It is not a pharmacy, a clinic or a store. It does not sell anything, and it does not take payment, ads or sponsorship from anyone named on its pages.
What it does and does not do
- It divides the mass you enter by the volume you enter and shows the result in mg/mL and mcg/mL. That concentration is the only result it shows.
- It does not tell anyone what to take, how much, or how often. It is education only and not medical advice.
How the numbers are checked
- The calculator uses exact decimal math, not rounded floating point numbers, so ten divided by two always shows exactly 5, never 4.9999.
- The mixing chart is generated by the same formula when the site is built, so the chart and the calculator cannot disagree.
- Label facts in the guides link to the source they came from, with the date the source was read.
